An innovative, groundbreaking project
in the field of movement rehabilitation,
integrating the GYROTONIC® method into the multidisciplinary rehabilitation program
From Rehabilitation to Movement Refinement
Rehabilitation does not end when pain subsides or when the patient is discharged from the hospital. During the crucial phase of returning to daily life, the body requires precise, gradual, and safe movement guidance.
This understanding gave rise to the rehabilitation project using the GYROTONIC® Method, enabling patients to continue developing
high-quality movement, improve function,
and restore the body to full activity as part of the hospital's rehabilitation program.
What is the GYROTONIC® method?
GYROTONIC® is a movement method with a holistic, systemic approach,
designed for rehabilitation, movement refinement,
and practice using specialized equipment.
The method has existed for over 40 years, operates in approximately 80 countries worldwide, and supports natural, circular, multi-dimensional, and multi-joint body movement. Its goal is to create balance among the muscles, spine, and internal organs, while improving movement quality and functional ability.
The Rehabilitation Project at Sheba
In May 2025, a rehabilitation project utilizing the GYROTONIC® method was established at Sheba Medical Center, as part of the rehabilitation program for those injured in the "Swords of Iron" war.
The project was launched thanks to donations totaling NIS 2 million.
It is managed and operated by the "Ronny Perry – The Freedom to Move" studio, led by Master Trainer Ronny Perry, who introduced the GYROTONIC® method to Israel approximately 20 years ago.

Project activities
The project currently operates:
5 days a week
Approximately 91 patients per week
15 professional staff members
Activities take place as part of the Sheba Medical Center's rehabilitation system.
The project serves patients from a variety of rehabilitation departments:
Neurological rehabilitation
Day hospitalization
Pain management day clinic
Multiple Sclerosis Orthopedic rehabilitation
Rehabilitative activity
"Returning to Life"
Traumatic brain injury
rehabilitation Repatriates' Department
The dedicated equipment
As part of the project, three Pulley Tower Combination Units,
the core equipment of the GYROTONIC® method were installed.
The units enable:
Support for Active Assist-type movement
Motor stimulation
Precise and safe work
Control of load and ranges of motion
Supporting complex rehabilitation processes
They serve as a significant tool in the transition from passive to active movement, and back to full function.

Rehabilitation Principles
Rehabilitation using the GYROTONIC® method is based on several key principles:
Who is the rehabilitation program for?
The program is designed for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including:
Limb amputees, musculoskeletal disorders,
post-joint surgery rehabilitation (knee, hip, and shoulder),
sports injuries, fractures, and movement limitations.
Patients recovering from accidents, surgeries, spinal cord injuries, stroke,
or suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and head injuries,
provided they are capable of cognitive cooperation.
Patients coping with multiple sclerosis and autoimmune diseases affecting the central nervous system.

Partners Along the Way Behind every rehabilitation process stand people who choose to be part of it.
Project donors become quiet yet significant partners in the rehabilitation journey of hundreds of patients.
It is a contribution that continues to make a difference every day in therapy, in movement, and in a single small breath that restores trust in the body and brings the patient one step closer to a more active and fulfilling life.

Continuing Rehabilitation in the Community
Returning to life does not end with discharge from the hospital.
To ensure continuity of care after completing rehabilitation at Sheba,
a community-based follow-up program was established in partnership with the
Tikvot Association.
Through this program, active-duty and reserve soldiers requiring ongoing rehabilitation
can continue their treatment at the "Ronny Perry – The Freedom to Move" studio in Haifa, guided by a professional team and utilizing the same treatment method.
